“Building relationships, recognizing new relationships, planning and recreation.” The results are vision, perspective, balance, discipline and control.
Where can we start in order to become more effective with personal management?
- Connect to your Personal Mission Statement that you created for yourself: If you reflect weekly on this you can look at how you can align your week ahead with your mission.
- We can look at the roles that we play: For example; girlfriend , daughter, friend, sales team member, customer service assistant. This will help you to create some balance in your life and see where you can make time to contribute to all the roles you play. Think of a couple of things that you would like to accomplish in each role during the week ahead.
- Organize our week: What are our goals going to be for this week? “What am I going to do within my roles to live my mission, and realize my vision”.
- We now need to exercise integrity: Be honest with ourselves, stick to our promises/goals and actively live out our planning.
By being organized and proactive, we can look at the week ahead and all the roles we play in our lives, then schedule time to achieve our short terms goals. Each week we are actively creating what we want by constantly moving forward in alignment with our values and what is important to us in our life.
