How often do you say kind, loving and encouraging words to yourself? I know we are all guilty of putting ourselves down at some point or another , saying things like , “ Why can’t you ever do anything right” or ” Why can’t I be prettier or thinner?” . However would you ever think the words that come out of your mouth in just those few seconds ,each time you say them , actually impact you mentally and physically?
There was a famous study conducted and relayed in a book called “The Hidden Messages in Water” by Dr Emoto, which proves that thoughts and feelings affect physical reality.
By observing the way that crystals were formed in frozen water, it was revealed how different thoughts and words impacted their physical shape. There was a huge difference between water from a clear spring, which had been exposed to love and gratitude and from polluted water that had been exposed to negative words like “You make me sick”. So there is physical proof that what we tell ourselves has a huge impact on us – this means that the best selling authors of all these motivational books out there who have been telling us to say positive affirmations to ourselves every day are actually right!
